Flat moving grate combustion 180 to 2,600 kW
The flat moving grate is especially suitable for the combustion of wood fuels with a water content of up to 55 % and an ash content of 6 %. Significant advantages are on the one hand the usability of different fuels and on the other hand a low dust content in the exhaust gas, due to the static fuel bed.

State-of-the-art combustion technology
Fuels:
Forest and sawmill residues
Residues from wood processing
Bark
Wood from landscape cultivation
Flexible use of various wood fuels as well as a low dust content in the exhaust gas due to the static fuel bed characterize the FSB.
Flat moving grate combustion
The low-NOx reduction technology is generally used in our flat-moving grate combustion systems. The combustion chamber is designed with a primary-side air staging to reduce NOx emissions. The regulation of the primary air supply in combination with the exhaust gas recirculation ensure a substoichiometric combustion in the reduction zone. The supply of secondary air takes place in the oxidation zone in the fireclayed part of the combustion chamber. This air flow ensures high turbulence and mixing with the exhaust gas and thus for optimal oxidation (CO burnout) of the combustion gases. These measures achieve the best emission levels.
Lowest life cycle costs
We attach great importance to durability and a long service life of the system. That‘s why we rely on a robust system technology. Solid steel construction and the use of high-quality lining material guarantee reliable plant availability over many years. Lowest power consumption in all load conditions of the plant is guaranteed by frequency-controlled screws, grate drives and exhaust gas recirculation.
